Now these parts here will let you use your motor home mounted Blue Ox Tow bar to tow your vehicle that has an off-road bumper with the welded on or bolted on D-rings and is rated for flat towing. This will work with the Blue Ox Aladdin, the Alpha, the Ascent, the Avail, and the Aventa LX tow bars. Now if the vehicle you wanna flat tow has an off-road bumper on it, there's usually no place to install base plates for your tow board to connect to. more

Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars Extended D-Ring Bumper Mounts Adapter Review- Video

Hey guys, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the adaptor for extended D-ring bumper mounts to Roadmaster tow bars. So here's what our adapter looks like, and what this is gonna do is, it's gonna allow you to attach a Roadmaster Motorhome-Mounted Tow Bar, a motorhome-mounted tow bar is one that installs into the hit receiver on the motorhome and it gets stored there while not in use. A couple example of those motorhome-mounted tow bars is the falcon 2s, which is what we have here. The black Hawk, the Sterling, and there's several others. And this is gonna allow us to attach to D-ring bumper mounts, welded onto our off-road Jeep bumpers. So a lot of Jeep owners like to install aftermarket bumpers on their Jeep, for one reason or another. more

Today we're going to take a look at these adapters for the Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster motorhome mount tow bars.Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 1987 to current Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK, and JL models that have the off-road bumpers with the 3/4" D-ring bumper mounts. Now because it fits so many different models of the Jeep Wrangler I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.Now these adapter brackets will attach to the shackle mounts on your Jeep and allows you to use the Roadmaster tow bar to tow your off-road vehicle. The brackets will attach to the 3/4" thick shackle mounts on your off-road bumpers, that are approved for flat towing.It's a very fast, simple installation. All you'll do, for this one right here, is you'll replace the quick disconnects on your tow bar arms with these adaptive brackets right here. And then on this end you'll remove the D-rings, that are on your Jeep bumper, from the shackle mounts and then attach this to the shackle mounts on your bumper. more

This unit features a hidden reinforcement design so once it's installed that means that less of the brackets are visible so less of the brackets show. And as you can tell they're two different components here, so there's no cross bar support beam or additional protruding brackets that'll be visible once the units fully installed.Another neat feature is that these base plate tabs right here, these remove easily for a completely hidden look, when you don't have your two bar connected to your base plates. Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2013 Ford Edge- Video

Today, on our 2013 Ford Edge, we'll be installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms, part# bx2628. To being our install, we'll first go ahead and open the hood. Then we'll remove the upper front fascia securing fasteners. A total of 2 bolts and 4 push pin fasteners. These push pin fasteners will have the center screw out, and then you can remove the entire fastener. Next, we'll move to the wheel well. Each wheel well, there are 3 fasteners thatll need to be removed. Quick tech tip: The correct socket for these fasteners is a 5.5 millimeter socket. more
